BODYPAINTING FESTIVAL JURY

VINCE TEMPERA, musician, compositor, arranger, talent scouter and orchestra director. He was born in Milan in 1946, he is famous because he was director of the festival di Sanremo orchestra for many editions.

 

But not everyone knows that the themes from UFO Robot, Goldrake, Ape Maya Daitan 3 and Remi, which accompanied us in our childhood and that now make us dance in the clubs, are his doing. And we can’t forget the 70 and more soundtracks for Italian and foreign films, and thousands of sold cds with songs like Na-no Na-no.

 

He was arranged of italian artists like Zucchero, Venditti, Nomadi, Branduardi, Leali, Battisti and international artists like Wilson Pickett, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ray Charles.

 

Recently he was again on the stage of the 66th edition of the Sanremo festival to direct he orchestra for Francesco Gabbani, in the youth category.

NICOLA LODA, born in Paitone (BS), profession restorer, live and works in Brianza and its province. His curriculum is scholastic, in order to wrap up his artistic vein, he got his bachelor at Liceo Artistico, and then ENAIP (Regional School for restoration of cultural heritage ) in Botticino (BS). Attracted by the artistic expressions of Bodypainting, he has participated to many specialized courses.


Today he participates in many national and international contests, and at the Italian Bodypainting Festival 2017 (Garda) he obtains the title of Italian Champion in the category Brush and Sponge. The main reason he felt in love with this art was the chance to pour out his artistic vein through colors and brushes, recurring symbols in his life, and the chance to create his own pieces of art without limits, unifying manual skill, creativity and curiosity. In each work he wants to put himself to the test with new challenges.

BIRGIT MOERTL, www.birgitmoertl.com, austrian, is an internationally awarded bodypainter and fashion designer. She started bodypainting 1999. She has worked as costume designer and she studied and practiced the possibilities made available by special effects. Mixing her costume design and special effects with her bodypainting abilities is what makes Birgit unique.

 

She is most well known for her years of work creating the costume and body art for the Life Ball, which is Europes largest AIDS charity event (www.lifeball.org e www.stylebible.org).
She worked on the Life Ball for well known designers such as Donatella Versace, Missoni and Vivienne Westwood, Gaultier, Etro.

 

Birgit has won many awards. Among these, it was also World Champion in body art Special Effects (2004, 2011), World Champion Bodypainting Art Installation (2016), and Vice Champion Creative Makeup award (2014)

LEONARDO GIACOMO BORGESE, scenographer, body painter and special effects specialist, he was world champion in the category make-up special effects in 2016 and he got the third place in the category Airbrush in 2017. He obtained a second place in the “Bodypainting Trophy” in Munich, in Germany.


He lives and works in Milan. He is a master in scenography, he got his bachelor in Accademia di Belle Arti of Brera in Milan, he started his artistic career using many artistic techniques , as drawings, paintings and sculptures and settings, learning how to use many materials that led him up to become a professional in special effects, in the art of Bodypainting and in the creation of Temporary Tattoos.
